I was a horse crazy kid. I loved being around horses and stables and rode whenever I could. Growing up in a midwest urban area, my parents drove me to the country whenever possible to be around horses. I participate in Gymkhanas, barrel racing, herding cattle and penning. In addition, I’m an RN with 20+ years experience in orthopedic, medical surgical nursing and work with our equine veterinarian on calls. Also, I am a member of American Paint Horse and Pinto Horse Associations. I received my CHA certification in Western and Trail Guide. I offer beginner riding lessons from ages five to fifty plus! Come enjoy the heady experience of horseback riding and soak in the benefits of partnership with a horse -- self confidence, respect, physical activity, discipline, pride, nature, and maybe even a newfound love -- just to name a few. Learn to approach and catch your horse safely in a herd or out of a stall. Learn to groom, saddle and bridle the horse with confidence. Once in the saddle, you will learn basic riding skills that will teach you how to communicate with your horse using cues with your body. You will learn to control the horse at the walk, trot, and eventually progress to learning patterns and advanced skills like roll-backs and side passing. Call today to schedule an appointment or visit.
