Welcome! Thank you for you for your interest in Mini Acres Trot-About Riding School. Whether you are new to Mini Acres or you have been with us for a long time I want to thank you so very much for joining us. Christopher and I, along with my mom Sue and our son Curtis purchased our farm in 1995. After five years we had outgrown our first facility in the Spokane valley where we started boarding, teaching and training in 1990. When we arrived at our new home with a herd of horses and various other critters in tow the facilities amenities were very few. Over the last 19 years we have worked hard to develop an equestrian facility where the horses in our care and the people who love and enjoy them are all safe and happy. I myself was born loving anything ‘horse’ and started riding lessons at the age of six. My parents bought my first horse when I was nine and I have been a proud and dedicated horse owner ever since. I have been involved with almost every aspect of the horse world and try and learn more about horsemanship, horse care and horseback riding every chance I get. In 2013 I became an EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist and I am proud to be a CHA Certified Instructor. I feel that knowing that my horsemanship and teaching skills meet the standards of both of these organizations confirms that I am doing an excellent job for both the horses in my care and my students. I enjoy working with riders of all ages and levels of experience. I look forward to working with anyone eager to spend time with horses and broaden their horsemanship and riding skills. Please feel free to ask for anything that will make your journey into the wonderful world of horses everything you are hoping it will be. If I can I will be happy to provide what you are looking for. I have two major motivating factors that drive me to maintain the energy required to do something as physically and emotionally demanding as operating an Equestrian Facility 1) my never ending love of horses and 2) my desire to share “horse” with others. By helping to ignite a spark that will enrich the life of anyone who discovers how rewarding and often life changing any involvement with these amazing partners can be I hope I can then help to ensure that these horses that so many people love so much will have a place in our every changing world. Thank you again! I know we will have fun “horsing around”!
